(No,\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0not a typo:\u00a0In other words,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0essentially like\u00a0buying the gloss and getting the liner for free.\u00a0Free!)\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0tried the Maracuja Juicy Lip\u00a0Liner before, and this version stands out for its subtle plumping effect, which is delivered via hydrating, line-filling\u00a0peptides\u00a0and hyaluronic acid. Like the original,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0ultra-creamy and glides on like butter. I picked up Caramel, a warm nude\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0my everyday \u201cmy lips, but\u00a0better\u201d shade. As for the gloss,\u00a0the twist-up brush applicator\u00a0immediately\u00a0reminded\u00a0me of an old\u00a0favorite\u00a0(Stila Lip Glaze\u00a0\u2014\u00a0IYKYK), but the formula feels decidedly more modern. It lands somewhere between a gloss and\u00a0a lip oil \u2014 cushiony, lightweight, and completely non-sticky \u2014 with that high-shine, wet-look finish. However,\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0exactly what happened\u00a0when\u00a0I first tried it.\u00a0For starters, the\u00a0color\u00a0match\u00a0is spot on\u00a0\u2014\u00a0the shade\u00a06O\u00a0blended\u00a0into my\u00a0complexion with\u00a0the most natural, skin-like\u00a0finish.\u00a0So many tints skew either too watery or overly slick, while others disappear a little too well that they barely make a difference. This one strikes a balance, offering a sheer veil of coverage that subtly evens things out without ever looking or feeling like makeup.\u00a0(The added SPF 40 is a welcome bonus, though I still layer it over my regular sunscreen.)\u00a0At $20,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0also\u00a0one\u00a0of my most affordable skin tints in my collection \u2014\u00a0but\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0feel like it.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0silky,\u00a0lightweight, and\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0break me\u00a0out.
