US GDP growth projected to rise to 2.4% in 2026: IMF
US growth is likely to rise to 2.4 per cent this year, while fading tariff effects and lower oil prices should bring core personal consumption expenditure inflation back to 2 per cent during 2027 first half, the IMF said.
Employment growth is slowing, but unemployment should stay near 4 per cent.
Near-term risks to growth and unemployment are balanced, but rising energy prices pose upside inflation risks.
