Bangladesh’s cumulative RMG exports down, but rebound in April

Bangladesh’s RMG exports saw a modest 2.82 per cent decline in FY26 (July–April), led by weaker knitwear.
Woven garments showed relatively better resilience, while home textiles posted marginal growth.
April marked a sharp rebound, with strong YoY gains across apparel and home segments.
Despite volatility, textiles remain dominant, contributing over 82 per cent of total exports.
