Iran announces alternative ship routes in Strait of Hormuz
As part of a two-week truce, Tehran has agreed to temporarily reopen the Strait of Hormuz, citing risk from sea mines.
It has suggested vessels entering from the Sea of Oman to move north of Larak Island before proceeding into the Gulf.
Ships exiting the Gulf should pass south of the island and continue towards the Sea of Oman, following the prescribed route to minimise exposure to hazardous zones.
