Mar US container imports up as supply chain pressures mount: Descartes

US containerised imports rose by 12.4 per cent month on month (MoM) and fell by 1.1 per cent YoY in March, Descartes said.
February-to-March marked the strongest increase in recent years.
March import volume was also the fourth highest on record for the month, suggesting stable import activity.
Imports from China continued to trend downward in March, declining by 2.3 per cent MoM and 6.7 per cent YoY.
